Chestnut Grove Timber Home
A note from the designer...
The Chestnut Grove Home offers the ease of living all on one floor with the upscale appointments of a home well appointed for a busy family. Entering from the front door, this 1933 square foot home invites you into an open living space of a family living room. Arriving guests will find a large coat closet as they move immediately into the living room. Family is never separated with a chef’s kitchen separated by a functioning prep and cook island wide enough to incorporate dining space that seats five or six at the bar. The kitchen space also offers an eat-in dining nook overlooking the backyard.
The family living room offers a gateway to a covered porch and outdoor living area, made private by the length of a four-car garage.
The opened space encourages flow for family or entertaining with a large curved island between the living room and kitchen with a curved entrance into the family formal dining room.
The space is open to bring people together, but the master bedroom, immediately off the living room, offers an upscale privacy. A spacious bedroom space offers separate his and hers walk-in closets leading to a master bath with an ample double sink, spa tub/shower and linen closet.
Two bedrooms lead off the kitchen and dining room areas. With a shared bath, each bedroom offers plenty of closet space with walk-in closets. Children and guests have an area of privacy while being part of the household.
A four-car garage area allows drivers to enter the home through a mudroom with space for coats and clutter before entering the main house near the bedrooms, dining room and kitchen. Immediately off the mudroom is a spacious laundry room that keeps the laundry clutter out of the family space with room for folding and ironing.
The garage offers options for different types of vehicles and activity. Separate bays for each set of two cars offers security and/or storage that can be locked and maintained in different areas of the garage. An adjoining doorway allows for movement between the bays. A door leading to the back yard enables the second garage space to easily become a workshop or any type of activity area that needs to remain separate from the family space of the home. The garage area also provides quick direct access to the screened porch.
With flexibility, upscale design touches and an active lifestyle, this Southern Timbercraft home can become your forever haven.
